  1. In my opinion, the organizational structure is the basis of a company's economicity (and so strategic effectiveness and operational efficiency). I think the organizational structure can be compared to the skeleton of the company, so if it doesn't fit well the "body" (the objective of the company), if it is inappropriate, then the company would experience bad performances

  2. The organizational structure plays often a fundamental role in the successfulness of certain business firms, and that's because many factors influence the decision to adopt an organizational structure more than another in order to obtain profit, for example a firm that produces many different kinds of product would need a particular organizational design that administrates singularly each product in order to perform its best.

The company's organizational structure is characterized by: the division of labor; by grouping; mechanisms of coordination; from decentralization. If they had not made these four stages in the formation of the organizational structure would lack the foundation of the company and therefore its model and its idea of work. it is very important to identify an organizational structure that is functional, divisional or matrix. This is because without it the effectiveness and efficiency would not be achieved. In all this, the company would lose capacity and communicative. So I think it is crucial to establish the skeleton on which to build economic activity.

  5. Organizational structure plays a major role in the efficiency and effectiveness, because without any structure an organization can´t be run. It would eventually go bankrupt. There would be total chaos among the authorities, but also among the employees they wouldn’t be able to know who is responsible for what sections , it would all just be so mixed up that the total chaos would break out leading to an poor qualitygood or service.

  6. I think establishing an organizational structure is useful for instance for the employees them selves. In so doing they know at who to refer regarding his/her job and duties. Finally, in a sense it is a way to orientate each individual involved in the company and without it, it would be all a mess.

  8. Organizational structure is very important for a company in order to be strategically effective and operationally efficient. Arranging the functions or positions, jobs or roles, the work to be done and how to perform it using intelligent strategies; because the plans, organization, procedures, coordination, and controls are very clearly performed. The tasks are divided into separate jobs and done by different individual. With the organizational structure we get to the coordination of all the individuals accomplishing their own task, so then they will be gathered together in order to achieve firm's goals and satisfy human needs and wants. It's like a team work: one does something and another one does other things and in the end they put their own work (or probably they do confrontations step by step) to survive and get to their aim.

  9. I think that it depends.
Kind of structures are important for the business, but it not always needed the same kind. Sometimes a mechanistic can be better than an organic. It's just a matter of coordinations and roles.

The organizational structure clarifies where every individual, group and department fit into a company's overall operations. For this reason, only with an appropriate structure, the organization can achieve its objectives and be strategically effective.

You know how and to whom you have to assign tasks and who will monitor the work, so every action will be completed efficently, saving time, money and achiving great results in terms of quality.
Obviously each business entity has a special organizational structure, that best fits its size and needs. Giving the right structure to a certain kind of Azienda is the first step to improve its performance focusing on economicity.

  12. In think that in order to do a good work everybody needs to have a clear picture of the whole, know the structure and now who do what. The same thing happens in an organization when we do have a clear picture of its structure. We do know who is in charge of what, we probably have a better coordination where everyone understand his part. Probably there will be less ambiguity, less overlapping and duplication of work and confusion. These attributes do of course increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.

  13. I think that an organizational structure plays a really important role in the organization's economicity.
If we take into consideration the efficiency and the effectiveness of a company we can easily understand that reaching this objectives without: being organized, knowing who is responsible of what, who we need to follow in order to achieve our goals and to whom we need to refer in case of problem, or in case of lack of knowledge, is absolutely impossible. Procedures, controls, authority and decision making process are strictly related to the quality of the organizational structure and this influences as well the long-term life of a company, dividing functions, roles and system's authority in order to work as a team to reach the economicity.
With a strong and consolidated structure behind will be easier to meet customers/users needs using the lowest amount of resources, operating with efficiency and strategic effectiveness.

  14. It all depends on what type of business you are and how big the business is. For large corporations and businesses that have many departments and many employees i believe organisational structure is fundamental to the efficiency and the effectiveness of the business. I believe this is the case as without any structure the business would just be chaos, no one would know where to report too or what department they actually work for, or who they can or can't delegate to. The structure is like the back bone of any business and for new employees gives them a firm grip on where they are in their new job. With a strong structure in the business, from the owners or even new employees information can be passed through the structure to the right people where needed this allows efficiency, also with a structure if the business starts to decline in income it is very easy to pin point exactly where the fault lies as all accounts show exactly where these problems occur, with out any structure this wouldn't be possible for large corporations. But as i said it can depend on the size of the business, for smaller businesses although there will be a lose structure; for example who the owner/owners are and who the employees are, its not so important that the structure is set in stone as normally many employees can complete many different tasks in many sectors of the business and they are not so specialised which can allow more effectiveness in the business as the owner doesn't have to employee many people as he already had efficient amounts. But for the majority of corporations a strong solid structure will allow efficiency and effectiveness as it will be able to reduce negative impact on the company and will meed employees needs on knowing exactly where they are in there business

Organizational structure is important for any growing company that wants to be successful.
Without a formal organizational structure, both employees and managers would be limited in how to respond and carry out essential tasks that have to do with the stated goals. So it plays a very important role for the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization.

  31. the organizational structure is fundamental for both the efficiency and effectiveness of a firm since each firm need a structure to survive. the organizational structure helps the coordination of the firm, because it let who works in it know who is going to handle a specific task, and simplifies the life of the stakeholders, stimulating everyone in doing their best

  32. Designing an organizational structure from the beginning of its developing could represent a good start, since it specifies the work to be done and how to do it, making, this way a clear and well-structured strategy.
It’s essential both for effectiveness and efficiency because drawing up an organizational chart are specified work specializations, in order to assign, for each task, expert employees and prepared managers who can oversee on them. For big firms, in my point of view, also departments are necessary, because, by grouping common tasks under departments, jobs can result more well-coordinated by specialists.
Just this way a big formalized firm could be run with authority and responsibility in order to reach notable successes.

  33. The role of organizational structure is very important. It shows the lines of hierarchy and authority. It plays an important role, especially in large companies, as it is easier for the employees to understand the task, responsibilities and duties of what they are doing. Organizational structure is visual and more comprehensible and the employee knows who is his manager and line of report. Employees are more secure and know very well what to do. This increases efficiency and effectiveness. Anyway, we should consider that is increases efficiency and effectiveness only if it is structured well and the employee understand what to do, when and to whom to report. If the process won't be done in the right way, the employee may feel confused, stressed, under continuous supervision and instead of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness it will decrease. There should be some level of flexibility and partecipation.

  34. The structure of an organization is fundamental. It should facilitate the reachment of certain objectives. Furthermore it brings order to the list of tasks.
The structure is, indeed, the expression of the strategy, adopted by managers; it's very important in the decision-making and to optimize the management of the firm; supports and gives a shape to the organization .
Taking into consideration the efficency, we must know that there are people to handle each kind of task, thinking that competition could arise, and the structure defines what has to be done and who's going to do it. Just imagin a firm without structure: everyone would be confused. So, it makes possible to the firm to run the business with economicity (strategic effectiveness and operational efficiency), and if the organization doesn't have a structure, the failure is granted.

Based on it, we can say that it influences the productivity of the employees. A well structured organizational structure gives signals about the efficiency and effectiveness of employees. They know their job and tasks better, and also the report lines if the organisational structure is designed in the good manner. The reporting and relationship lines are easier to be understood by employees, and a good introduction of business mission, goals and performance required from them, increase the satisfaction and respectively the efficiency and effectiveness.
